2002 Topps Limited Set

Print Run: 1950

This would be the final "Limited Edition" factory set. Each factory sealed set contains 790 cards and includes all 73 of the Barry Bonds #365 "73" cards.  Topps intentionally left out card #7 as a way of paying tribute to Mickey Mantle.

The main outer box is a white box with the Topps HTA logo and "LIMITED EDITION" printed on the box.    Inside the outer box the main wooden box with a gold label the same design as on the outer box.  The main box is sealed with the Topps shrink wrap.  On the bottom of the wood box is a label with the set serial ####/1950. 

2002 Topps Limited -vs- Base Cards

The Limited cards are easily differentiated from the original base cards by being printed on thicker, 20pt card stock, high-gloss coating and the words "LIMITED EDITION" gold stamped on the front. 

Unfortunately, due to the glossy coating on the cards, many of the sets have become "bricked" together.  That means the cards have become stuck together to form a brick shape.  These is no know way for safely "unbricking" the cards.  As a result, most of the cards have surface damage, resulting in a "snow" appearance due to the paper loss.  This has placed a premium on cards that are in near-mint condition or better.
