Sold on 8/9/2015 as a PSA 8 by eBay seller mike303 to b***y (VCP masked ID for card-buyer) for $309.44
Consigned to PWCC and sold on 7/7/2016 as a PSA 9 for $2,570.91
Value gain: $2,261.47
This card had some significant wax stains on the back which were removed by the card doctor. Anyone who deals in vintage cards knows that while pantyhose can sometimes be effective in removing some wax from the more glossy fronts, they actually make the stain worse if used on the fibrous card backs. Therefore, a chemical solvent was undoubtedly used.
Blue rectangles are areas where there was wax and/or stain removal. Pink circles are unique paper fibers which confirm the two sets of images are indeed of the same exact card.
