Two other altered 1895 Mayo's Cut Plug cards had been previously found in this PSA order. For those, see Post #4546 and also Post #4625 earlier in this thread. This card, too, is altered. First, I encircled in red the reason the card received an MK (mark) qualifier the first time it was graded. The PSA grader simply missed this mark upon regrading. More importantly, however, are the areas of the card I marked in blue. On the front, the bottom edge and bottom corners have been lightly retouched with black to minimize the wear. On the reverse, a small area of wear has also been retouched in black. Remember, the card doctor's goal is not to eliminate the wear (that would be too obvious), it is to minimize to improve the grade and thus get more money.
