2020 • PSA 7 cert# 11030442 • BlowOut →
Sold on 4/21/2017 as a PSA 7 by eBay seller toptiercardsncollectibles to whitman111 (Gary Moser) for $730
Consigned to PWCC as a newly-graded PSA 7 and sold on 9/12/2017 for $722
Value loss of $7
I said I was done for the day, but wanted to include this to show that sometimes the trimmers do not get the outcome they desire. Nevertheless, despite no change in the assigned grade, the card is forever spoiled.
Moser trimmed both edges of this '52 Berk Ross Jackie Robinson, and added a faux "rough cut" edge, in an effort to recreate the cut of many vintage 1950s cards. This cutting trick was first uncovered by BO member 3124508 in this post on an altered 1954 Bowman Willie Mays.
The red circles are unique paper fibers proving it is the same card.
