Here we have one of the few Beckett Vintage Grading (BVG) evaluated cards from the tag team of Gary Moser/PWCC. The unnatural white color, coupled with the extreme edge trimming leads me to believe that this card failed PSA—perhaps multiple times—and maybe SGC, before being submitted to the grader of last resort, Beckett. However, this opens up another avenue for law enforcement to look into, and more records to be obtained to see who submitted this card for grading.
The green boxes show the before and after borders. The pink circles show print spots and/or paper fibers proving that the PSA 4 and BVG 8.5 are the same card. A four-and-a-half point jump in a card's grade is not a normal outcome, even for advanced card doctors like these.
