100% fake. By 2004, when this card was made. DLP would have put any shield into its own 1/1. And not wasted on a low level brand like Prestige, in a parallel numbered to 25. It just wouldn't happen.
Every shield they had on hand to use that season, would have gone into their Leaf Certified brand. And would have been a mirror black 1/1.
If they did use another jersey for some player that season. You would have had a 1/1 shield logo in Leaf Limited. They were very good about using shields in their own subsets by then. As it was a huge marketing draw to boost sales.
Zero chance they burned a shield, for Manning of all players back then, on a Prestige card out of 25.
"Prime" just meant anything that wasn't basic mesh. "Prime" swatches were kept in their own bags to be used across brands. A Shield would not have found its ways into the "prime" bag. Thats a fake patch. Which was very common around that time.
